More and more people want to work from home – but how do you avoid the work at home scams?
There are so many benefits of working from home – you can work at your leisure, do what you enjoy and earn money into the bargain. Who would not like this luxury? But with the mad rush of people determined to work from home, scamsters are making a quick buck and many people have fallen prey to them.
More than nine out of ten “work at home opportunities” that you will see on the internet are in fact “work at home scams”.
They may not look so. In fact many of them are enticing and believable. You read the sales letter and you are seduced by the promises of becoming a millionaire by next month without doing any work. You must have seen the headlines: “Make Millions Overnight”, “Over A Million Dollars A Year Without Even Owning A Website” etc., etc.
They look very convincing and as you read down the sales letter all of the objections you may have had are dismissed one by one, as the copywriter expertly builds up your desire for the product and you can resist no longer. You are hooked and they reel you in. You sign up, you pay your hardearned cash, you get the product, you read it end to end and you try it out.
Then the truth reveals itself – there is no way you are going to be a millionaire by next week using this method – you have been scammed!
So what are the main types of work at home scams out there? Here are a few of the main ones:
This is possibly one of the most notorious work at home scams and has been around for some time. It can seem like a perfect opportunity if you have limited computer and internet skills. You are required to stuff and label envelopes and are promised a fee for each one. But the problem is you will rarely get paid and as well as the fee you have paid for the “opportunity” you will lose the money you have invested in buying the envelopes.
The very attractive sales letter directs you to call a 1-900 number to get more details on a home business opportunity or a work from home job. But the telephone number is a premium rate number so you pay a fortune for the call and end up getting information which is of no use to you.
You are promised an attractive income for sending out e-mails. For this you have to pay the company for the necessary instructions and in return you receive a list of e-mail addresses to which you have to send e-mails. Sounds simple, but here’s the catch. You will probably end up spamming people who will then report you and you will get penalized by your internet service provider into the bargain. There are some legitimate opportunities for this type of work, but take care before becoming involved.
Everyday you see advertisements promising you instant wealth for just typing from home. But take care – most of these are complete scams. In most cases, you are required to type up Google Adwords as prescribed by the company – that’s the easy bit. But then you are also required to pay to place the advertisements. The deal is you will be paid if someone clicks on the ad and then makes a purchase from the site. In some cases, you will be paid, but there are many unscrupulous operators who keep the money for themselves and you have no way of knowing how many sales were achieved from your ads.
However, all is not lost. There are some (although very few) totally reputable companies who offer entirely legitimate data entry jobs. With these, you can genuinely earn up to $1,000 per day and receive regular paychecks that will change your financial situation for the better.
These companies screen out all the scams and when you join them, you receive instant access to only the best data entry opportunities on the market.
The best of these, by far, is LegitOnlineJobs.com. LegitOnlineJobs has over 25,000 members worldwide and they provide personal one on one coaching and training to get you up and running in the fastest time. For one small fee, you gain lifetime membership and within a few hours you will have easily made enough money to cover the fees – so the rest is pure profit. Many members regularly make $500 to $1,000 a day.
So for a guaranteed income, make sure you avoid the work at home scams and choose to work with the experts.
